We are in total aw at the one true God who is the creator of the universe. David wrote in Psalm 19 that the heavens declare His glory. When we look at the enormity of the heavens or the beauty of a single butterfly, we observe the workmanship of God’s power hands. For what He spoke into existence He also sustains with his very power. I am just a spec in the vast universe that He brought into existence. Yet He is greater than all of creation. Despite God’s grandeur, He cares about me, specifically and personally. Nothing is more humbling than that. The God of the universe sees me, He knows me, He understands me, He cares about what I am going through, and He loves me beyond anything I could ever hope or imagine. So much so that He put on flesh for me and died for me so that I might live. I am humbled by this knowledge. Everyday in my heart, mind, and soul He grows larger and larger and I grow smaller and smaller. My comfort and hope are in Him.
