About me
my testimony
My name is Paul. I have been attending church since I was little. I knew from very early in my life that I loved Jesus. I was baptized when I was twelve. Like many, I became lax in my church attendance and commitment when I went off to college. However, when I got married and had kids I returned to the church. It was around this time that I, as I would come to know later, began to feel God guiding me into the ministry.
I have been married for twenty-five years and I have two children. My oldest graduated from college and is married and my youngest is attending college now. I give thanks to God for my wonderful family and that my kids have grown up to love Him.
In 2013, my wife and I felt called by God to move to Florida to help with a church in the area. I began teaching and occassionally preaching. Eventually, under the guidance of my Pastor, I discerned a call into the ministry.
I started Seminary in 2015 and began the long seven year journey. In 2019, I earned my Master of Arts in Ministry and in 2023 I earned my Master of Divinity degree. I believe this website is the next step in my journey to reaching others for Christ.
Mission
The mission of Questions in Theology is to aid in the learning and growth of those seeking answers to the most important questions in life. I have found in my personal experience that there are many ministers, churches, and whole denominations whose beliefs and teachings fall outside of Biblical truth. I believe these worldly and unbiblical beliefs creep in because we have given in to the culture and therefore we no longer believe and teach the whole story of God (creation, the fall, redemption, and recreation.)
I am working to create a place where people can come to find answers and resources that will help them on their journey to find truth that is both coherent and that corresponds to reality. The hope is to help others come to the realization that Jesus is in fact “the way, and the truth, and the life…” (Jn. 14:6a)
The lessons and resources found here will have as their underlying themes a focus on truth and transformation in light of who God is, who we are, how we were made, and for what purpose.
